ELM Development has been serving the needs of small businesses for over a decade. Eric Moyers, who is an Air Force Veteran, began building IT systems for friends and family out of his home in 1998 in Greer, SC. With their urging and support he began this business. Eric decided from the start his goal would be unparalleled customer service.
Eric’s vast experience started while serving his country when he was in the Air Force. At night, he started teaching at a local computer training center. He then taught a basic computer 101 course for Trident Technical College in Charleston SC, as a part-time teacher. After getting out of the Air Force he and his family moved to Greer, SC.
He started work for Fluor in their Training Division before moving over to TABWare, their Computerized Maintenance Management System. He helped customers transfer their legacy Databases and then instructed the customer on how to use the new system. Eric’s next job was as a computer programmer, working for Ahold USA; he did mainframe programming for different grocery chains owned by Ahold USA.
It was during this time when ELM Development was started. After being laid off from Ahold, Eric did a couple of small contracting jobs before going to work for Concentrix. Concentrix holds a contract for Cisco, to do all their global small business technical support. At Concentrix, he is the Surveillance and Wireless Expert for the support center.
Since working at Concentrix, He has become certified as a Cisco Network Associate and a Wireless – Cisco Network Associate.
Over the years he has had the opportunity to help many businesses facing some difficult challenges. He has even been retained by two of those businesses to be their sole IT representative, with an annual contract, since they are not big enough to carry their own IT staff.
ELM Development offers many different services. From basic computer troubleshooting and repair, annual preventive maintenance contracts, Domain Name Reseller and services (through www.inexpensive-domains.com), video to DVD transfer and DVD Montages to music.
